Wow! Seismic changes occurring in the world around us. Whether you see them as good or bad they're fertile ground for us writers of the fantastic and you readers of it too. I choose to see World events as an opportunity to transport you away from the present reality for a time or choose to add my unique interpretation of how the world should or could be. So don't be despondent embrace the challenge. It will make us stronger.

I stumbled across this article that I've attached for you to read and was thinking about patience and all the factors required to have it. I started wondering if it was even relevant in a society that prided itself on instant gratification.

Then I started to ponder that sometimes the hard way is the best way. Somebody once said 'don't give up what you want now, for what you want most.

It was a struggle in the early days of my writing career to reconcile the time I would need to spend completing a novel. But I've since learned that the pay off from disciplining myself was worth it, every single time.

Society tends to be in a constant quest for the secrets that can change your life. I think delayed gratification is one of those secrets.
