You can’t simply set your mind to do the impossible. But, there is a wide range of possibilities you can put your mind to and pull off given enough time.
You just need to start it.
I’ve spoken about knowing yourself and how important that is because you will only achieve a level of success based on your self-belief and self-awareness. Know what your natural inclinations are and build on them. I have a way with words, so I build on that. On the other hand, I show no talent or passion for creating my own art, so I’d never become world-class at it.
Remain a perpetual learner because the more we know, the more we can become. Given enough time and momentum, you can decide to dramatically improve your life. I talk a lot about being the best version of yourself, and I believe you can get there in some form or the other with the ideas we talk about every week.
Nothing is guaranteed, though.
No matter how many books you read, podcasts you listen to, or courses you take, you can only apply the lessons and distinctions you’re given and see what the results are. Of course, others may have had specific results by doing these things, but you can rest assured your outcomes will be different.
No One size fits all.
This is the part where you complain about how hard it is, and I agree. Trying to be better is tough, even when someone else has trodden the path for you. However, just because it’s difficult doesn’t mean it’s not valuable. The more diverse opinions and methods you have at your disposal because you’re a lifelong learner makes it more likely you’ll reach your goals.
As I said, there are no guarantees, just that you’ll continue to be a better person as a result of your journey. You have the power to adapt and grow, and no one or nothing can take that away from you.
Just begin it.
