I'm in a unique position because I'm on the cusp of my personal success, so I can see both sides of the coin - where I'm coming from and where I'm going.
Let's keep it honest.
Everyone's journey to creating their desires is unique to them. Les Brown, the motivational speaker's journey, was unique to him, Actor Idris Elba's journey was unique to him, Talk Show host Oprah Winfrey's journey was unique to her, and the Marksman's journey is unique to me. When we read the autobiographies of these influential people, we emulate them or follow their guidance; your path is your path. There may be points in our journey where our
experiences intersect, but you're charting your own course for the most part. There are so many unseen or hidden factors that go into achievement that even if achievers wanted to share it all, they couldn't. It would take too much time. So, in reality, we're only getting 25% of the story.
For you and me, it means that there's no formula that is universally applicable, just laws, principles, and strategies that we can form our own recipes with. Recipes are an excellent analogy for what I'm talking about. The cake may look exquisite on the page of a cookbook, but because you've followed the recipe instructions word for word doesn't mean your results will replicate the baker's results. Remember those unseen and hidden factors that are
difficult to compensate for?
That means sometimes we are focused, driven, and work harder than ever following the guidance of the successes that came before us, and we still get knocked back, destroyed, and ridiculed.
The majority of us will find ourselves here, and most of us will never recover and simply give up.
The minority, on the other hand, will dust themselves off, learn the lessons taught from this setback and try again. Because they know it's not over. Remember those unseen and hidden factors. There is so much more for us to learn and discover, so we must try again.
That's where I found myself. It feels like you're at an impasse, and there's no way forward. There is. Those unseen and hidden factors give up their secrets with persistence. Just keep pushing.
Gentle reader, I know you've been itching to ask this question, and I've been evading it until this moment.
What if you never achieve your heart's desire?
Remember this quote?
Shoot for the moon, and even if you miss, you'll land among the stars.
If you've never given up on your dreams, then you know that to achieve them, you must first become a person worthy of them in the first place. I'm sorry to break it to you. When you set those lofty goals for yourself, you had to level up to achieve them.
The great teacher Jim Rohn said:
Success is not to be pursued.
It's to be attracted by the person you become..
You've improved, gentle reader; you will get better every time you set goals for yourself. So what if you haven't achieved that one thing, every day you're becoming more. Have faith, honor yourself, and don't give up. The last time I checked, that's what life is all about.
