If you read any of my fiction work at all - and it would be strange if you read my emails and don’t, then you can see, I believe in an incredible universe filled with equal measures of wonder and terror. I do believe in the incredible and the impossible because I believe the universe we inhabit is an unknown quantity that science may never wholly decipher. Infinite possibility is available to everyone because it impacts everyone.
Look back on your life, and you will have witnessed this yourself, whether it was an event that materialised unexpectedly that worked in your favour or otherwise. Something that literally came out of the blue and changed your life trajectory was the infinite possibility at work. The thing is the majority of us don’t recognise these events when they occur, and worst still, we don’t bend them to our will and exploit them when they do.
I believe it’s a tool in our toolkit that we have no control over. We just know that sometimes life can weave its magic, and a situation can resolve itself or improve beyond our understanding. Because with infinite possibilities, we are open to the notion that life works through us on a higher dimension. It’s like a ripple effect that bounces back to us from our actions; we just don’t know what form it will take.
I experienced an infinite possibility event recently.
I was contacted by a company who wanted me to work with them on a writing project. The founder was someone I would love to interview for my podcast. But guess how she found me?
My name comes up in conversation regarding her search for talented POC writers in Spec. Fiction for children. Then soon after, one of her friends called and gave her my details. What’s the likelihood? The universe was speaking, her words not mine. I recognised it for what it was, said thank you to the higher powers, and used the opportunity.
Whether you believe in a higher power or not, whether you call it coincidence or not, look out for these events when they turn up, and they will.Â
Dr. Deepak Chopra speaks extensively about infinite possibilities. He says that as we move through life from point A to point B, the transition is never linear; rather, it is full of infinite possibility. From one moment to the next, you can experience endless outcomes; some you have control over, others you don’t. Some are favourable to you, others aren’t. What is important is how you choose to interpret what turns up, what happens. That you have a 100%
control over.
Â
The universe is a mysterious entity, don’t try to master it, work with it. Embrace uncertainty.
Â
When you become comfortable with uncertainty, infinite possibilities open up in your life.
