I can feel the appreciation across Time and space when I push out of my comfort zone and challenge myself. The Future me Is gaining skills, being prepared to handle opportunities that arise days, months, or years from now. And because of that, I don’t want to let my Future Self down. I’m always on the lookout for that book to read, the person to interview, that role model to meet, or that skill to learn because I’m preparing for the future.
Â
My Future Self is a source of inspiration.Â
Â
There have been times when I’m too tired to write, and from nowhere, I find that spark, that sits me down and makes me put words to paper.Â
Why?
I want my Future Self to have a body of work it can market and brand, so I go the extra mile for him.
Â
I want my Future Self to be in good shape, so rain or shine, I exercise and try to eat well. I can’t afford for my Future Self to be unprepared due to lack of care in the present.
Speaking about preparation, reading is one of the most precious gifts you can give your Future Self. I’ve been introduced to so many great ideas that have significantly made my life better in the months and years to come. And because of that power to make a real dent in the universe, I take my reading seriously. And the future me is forever grateful too. Want to future proof your life make reading a priority.
Â
So yes, you can control the future.
Your actions today are the foundation of the future you’re going to live. That realization can alter what is to come based on your current activities. That concept is something very few people grasp. If that isn’t a superpower, I don’t know what is. Learn the lessons from the past then move on to making your future how you imagine it. As you mature, you’ll be able to look at the future and understand the type of effect your actions in the present have on your results.
Â
Don’t be stuck in the moment. You’re Future Trading; a skill only Timelords can pull off. And you do this by giving the future what it needs now, and it will reward you with the things you want then. It would be best if you practice because it is a skill but its worth it. You will have so much of a competitive edge that others will not be able to explain how you are doing it. They’ll explain away your accomplishments as luck, but you and I
understand.

Not everything you do will be comfortable - from our weekly talks, we know the benefits of stepping out of our comfort zone. When you challenge yourself, you are paving the way for your future self to be a better version of who you are today. And that’s what it’s all about.Â
