Believe in Yourself and You Will Be Unstoppable.
Belief is one of the most fundamentals aspects of living a high-quality life and achieving what you want to achieve. I know the subject has been discussed and studied in-depth, and I know there are a few established camps with firm ideas on its importance or lack thereof.
I’m a firm believer and a practitioner. I’m confident about my observations because they are personal experiences that have worked for me. I do use observations from people I respect, but I prefer talking from my own experience. That way, the lines of communication between us remains pure and trusting.
Belief is the king of achievement. If you believe you can or you believe you can’t, then you are absolutely right, and that’s why it is so powerful.
Nothing gets achieved without the driving force of belief. If we didn’t believe in ourselves, then we wouldn’t even try in the first place. So what about people who believe but with a toxic version of the idea of belief. We see them on the talent shows. Utterly devoid of talent in the conventional sense. And when the judges don’t ‘appreciate’ their performance as much as they expected, they cry foul or worst.
Like my, Britain has Talent example above many confuse belief with miracles. I’m an advocate of belief, and although I do believe in miracles, I’m not referring to miracles here. Having a belief isn’t a magical construct; neither is it just a religious or spiritual idea. Contrary to how belief is used, it takes hard work and preparation for it to be convincing.
So what is this hard work you’re referring to? Well, I’ll tell you, It’s the ability to develop your self-esteem. And the hard work comes into play when we have to tame our inner critic. That voice that constantly attacks us, judges us, and becomes more vocal the more we listen to it. It wants to keep us safe, and it will lie to do so. It will tell us we’re failures because it doesn’t want us to stretch, it will say what’s the point because it doesn’t want us
to try, it will tell us we’re not worthy because it doesn’t want us to be great. What it does want us to be is safe. If we listen to the lies, our inner critic is spouting; we are destroying ourselves. There are a few methods to quieten or turn off your inner critic before it does damage to your self-worth, and my preferred method has always been self-talk. It’s something I did from the days when I was shy and lacked self-confidence. I discovered it by accident and used it most days to tell my
inner critic, what is what!

Self Esteem: A Proven Program of Cognitive Techniques for Assessing, Improving, and Maintaining Your Self-Esteem by Matthew Mckay and Patrick Fanning.
Once you have controlled your inner critic, with belief in yourself, you can become a force of nature. You will be relentless as you lock onto your goals and begin to achieve them. What I found though is some habits can turbocharge the power of your belief.
It’s a matter of engaging in healthy, empowering habits, day after day, that will reinforce the power of belief and gives us the confidence to go on and do big things in the world. I’ve mentioned some of these habits before and will continue to do so because they are so important.
- Eat well
- Sleep Well
- Stay Positive
- Have a Mindfulness practice
- Be Grateful
- Exercise
- Read daily
I haven’t gone into any details; we will have time to do that over future emails, but you get the point. Now understand that I’m not saying the above steps are easy. For these habits to boost, your belief it will take discipline, consistency, humility, and a willingness to create a vision for yourself and work backward from that vision.
I’m on the journey with you, Gentle Reader; if anything can get us to our vision, it will be our beliefs. Control your beliefs, and you can control your destiny.
Peace, love and power
