Change is good.
But many of us are content with comfort, and that is dangerous. Why though?
I don’t think it’s because we’re lazy, I just think we are scared of taking risks. The thought of stepping out of our comfort zone frightens us. What should really scare us is looking around and seeing people who were in the same position or level as you were and did not settle. They have become leaders, changing themselves, changing their communities, the world, and humankind. How do you feel about that? Happiness? Satisfaction? Indifference or Disappointment? If you’re anything like me It’s
the last one, maybe I am wrong, I don’t know.
But what I do know is that I will not settle for less. That is average thinking.
“Average. It was the worst, most disgusting word in the English language. Nothing meaningful or worthwhile ever came from that word.”― Portia de Rossi, Unbearable Lightness: A Story of Loss and Gain
Make discomfort, your friend. Go the extra mile. Never settling is understanding that the only way to get comfortable with something you are uncomfortable with is to do it, and then do it again, and again, and again.
We are creating our own reality every day with our actions. Never settle and make every step forward count.
