I don’t know a lot of people with that burning sense of purpose, but I’m seeking them out because I want to spend as much time as I can with people like that.
They understand their life is short and that time is limited, and they know what they are doing with it. They are magnetic in a way other people are not. You can’t help but feel drawn to their energy.
So why is it important?
- A sense of purpose acts as a north star in directing your thoughts, feelings, and behaviour.
- Having a sense of purpose in what you do provides a sense of lasting fulfilment.
- A sense of purpose provides immense motivation and guides you to achieve your authentic potential.
- A sense of purpose Insulates you from adversity.
Having a sense of purpose significantly benefits your Well-being.
The one thing that is difficult to do is to check yourself and make sure you’re not on the conveyor belt of life with your eyes wide shut. It’s so easy and comfortable that when you are ready to check where you are, you realize fifteen years have gone by. When you’re in a situation like that, questions need to be asked. The thing is you have to be in touch with yourself to appreciate the answers you get.
Ask yourself.
“Does my life have a purpose?”
Then listen to that still small voice and the answers it gives. If you feel that emptiness in your gut, you need to reevaluate your position. You have work to do. On the other hand, if your heart flutters and you are filled with excitement, then you are on the right track. Keep going and welcome to the club.
