People who shine. They are the ones who through words and actions will elevate those around them. They have a way of allowing the energy of their presence to impact others positively.
People who drain, on the other hand, suck you dry emotionally. They talk too much, make everything about them and think you are interested in every fine detail of their life. They are needy, love drama and talk shit about others. The Worst thing is they will do nothing about changing their circumstances.
Where do I fit into that equation, If I hold up a mirror to myself?
If you elevate the people in your life then great. You are rare and should be proud of yourself.
If you suspect that you are a drainer then kudos for the honesty in identifying that. But you have some serious work to do. If you want your social, personal and business life to sparkle, then you must be committed to making that change or get used to being a pariah.
Only when you have fixed up can you ask yourself: who around you is draining or sucking your energy and holding you as a hostage in their negative gravity? A healthy positive relationship between two people is a simple exchange. They should support your continuing life story, and you should support theirs. If that doesn't happen, its time to cut ties. Life is too short.
