It’s so easy to fall victim to feeling inadequate. We are bombarded with messages from people trying to tell us our life will not be the same without following their example.
I go to the gym as regularly as I’m able. I see my fellow gym members at different levels of fitness, and I know what it takes to achieve these levels. You may be impressed with the gym-goer with a body like Hercules or Xena, but you can be sure they did not accomplish that by accident. My less committed gym buddies want to be like these examples and feel bad for themselves when they realize they would never be willing to put in the effort and commitment
required.

Everything has a price and if you know yourself enough, love yourself enough, it’s okay to make a decision and stick with it. You can choose if the price is too high and feel comfortable knowing you made that choice. If you can stop judging yourself and respect your uniqueness, then that’s an excellent first step.
When you are always worrying about what you could be missing out on, you forget to enjoy the current experience that you are having. You stop living because you are forever stuck on the idea that you are always missing out on something.
It’s exhausting and counterproductive.
Be a voice, not an echo.
Embrace your uniqueness, respect who you are and what you do, make a decision, pay the price and enjoy it. The grass isn’t always greener on the other side.
