Congratulations if you’re happy with that, but if you’re in the minority and your dissatisfied, then a radical shift is required.
To change your reality from Average to Super is going to require a wake-up call.
One of the first things you have to realize is that your ‘Super’ is unique to you. It’s an accepted part of our culture today to believe that we are all destined to do something truly extraordinary. Celebrities say it. Business tycoons say it. Politicians say it. But Richard Branson’s Super and Tim Ferris’s Super is not yours. Your path is your path. The impact you will have in the world may be large, or it may be small, but it will be something only you can offer. Being Super does not mean you
are extraordinary at everything. In my estimation, you have discovered a talent that is unique to you, and you’re using it make a difference in a way only you can. The cost is time, attention, and effort to be Super. It’s an investment you need to make.
Super or Average, The trick to life is not comparing yourself to those others, but comparing yourself to yourself in the past. Be a better you tomorrow than you were yesterday. Spend your time at improving yourself through hard work. And remember what you can offer the world no one else can.
We’ve established being Super or Average is your choice. A choice of how much energy you want to expend to make a mark, how satisfied you are with your contribution. Once you understand Super is a subjective term, the fear of what society thinks about you will disappear. It does require more from you, more commitment, more discipline, more vision but the results are what you say they are. Set your own goals and standards high and just go out and be Super.
Once you have accepted your flaws, no one can use them against you.
