You don't have to post it to prove it

Today I discovered something profound.
Well, it felt profound for me at least. In my life, I've found that it's the small things that can make such massive shifts in your life when you discover them so my eyes and ears are always open for these invaluable tidbits that can change my trajectory. Meaningful ideas never appear with a loud bang but usually a whisper. And for me, their power is how they show up in the most innocuous situations. As you know, I have a presence on most of the major social media platforms as a self-published
Spec. Fiction Writer. While I was uploading an image to Instagram, it suddenly struck me.
If you think that by tinkering with Social Media alone you can create greater personal success, then you're wrong.
Think about it.
For social media to work for you, you must be doing valuable and remarkable work. What sense does it make developing a social media strategy and building a superficial presence if you have nothing of value to offer.
I think a lot of us have been approaching this backward. Focus on being unique and remarkable first and spreading your story to the world will be organic. So following on from that idea I had to start seriously considering how my work was valuable to my readers.
The key to making all this happen is to keep the concept of being unique and relevant at the forefront of your mind when you're creating your work. My Marksman Brand Story reveals something of my pursuit of this ideal. I don't get it right all the time, but I'm moving closer towards the ideal. Don't worry if you're nowhere close to
discovering or producing books or art or music that is remarkable and unique.
Just know what our focus should be. Keep that intention front and center.
Significant social media engagement is a consequence of the value you offer. Not the other way around.
How do you become unique and remarkable so you can stand out in your world?
Firstly to complete or create any endeavor of significance it must be a task that cannot be performed by just anyone. There must be a degree of difficulty or skill attainment that is built into the work. That is the idea of being unique - it could only be a product of your voice, your hands, your mind.
You will never influence the world by trying to be like it.
This is how you produce things that are unique and remarkable? Let's be honest stop grooming ourselves with cosmetic work online and start developing the skills to create real, rare and beautiful things.
It may take time. Rome wasn’t built in a day. Some of the skills you’ll learn might come from unlikely places. Keep focused on your main work. Get the best instruction you can. Work hard.
In time, you’ll start producing rare and valuable work. People will begin to notice. Then watch your social media engagement skyrocket.
Does This Help?
Linchpin by Seth Godin makes a case for why some people are easily outsourced, downsized, or freelanced into obscurity, while others have their pick of
opportunities? In this powerful book, Seth Godin argues that it's more essential than ever to become indispensable - to become a Linchpin. Linchpins are the fundamental building blocks of great organizations: they invent, lead (regardless of title), connect others,
make things happen, and create order out of chaos. They love their work and pour their best selves into it and turn each day into a kind of art - and, in today's world, they get the best jobs and the most freedom. If your not a Linchpin in any endeavour
you're dispensable.
Time to step it up a gear.

P.S Would you be so kind to take 2 minutes to leave me a quick review on any of my books below that you have read? It would help immensely. Thank you.
