It is not just about money. It's about the gifts you have, tangible and intangible. It's that something no one else can offer the world and how best to share it. When I say preparation I mean you may have to sit down with yourself and
pinpoint the things about you no one else can give.
Leaving a legacy is also a self-serving thing. It’s not just about giving but how you want to feel because the more you contribute the more your life gains value. I hope from my emails you have come to realize that you are special - not in a ‘the world owes me’ kind of way. But that you are unique and able to contribute in a style only you can offer. For me, that is what
legacy is all about. It doesn't have to be a Bill and Melinda Gates style Foundation, just something that makes a difference in the world big or small.
What is our purpose in life if not to leave a mark?
At the end of the day, it is not about what you have or even what you've accomplished. It's about who you've lifted up, who you've made better, it's about what you've given
back.
If you focus continually on making the world a better place, entertaining more people, educating more people, uplifting more people or just loving more people in some small way your life will have more meaning and purpose, and you create a legacy that cannot be denied.
If you would not be forgotten as soon as you are dead, either write something worth reading or do
something worth writing.
