Change Your Thinking, Change Your Life - Success Begins & Ends with Your Mind

When I’m caught up in the grind of daily living, I need to check in with myself. It’s so easy to get tangled up with everything around so personally, I need a reminder. What I do is sneak into my daily schedule something that triggers my awareness of the here and now.
It keeps me present.

Your Mind is a Powerful Tool that is at Your Disposal

And it's a great way to sharpen my awareness.
What also works for me is a change of environment. I know you see these Digital Nomads in some far off exotic locals making money and living the lifestyle. That’s great if you are able. I’m presently writing this in Ibiza, Spain but I could most likely be somewhere in the UK. It doesn’t matter where you go. What matters is that a change in environment will change your thinking. And a shift in your thinking can change your life.
How you feel about yourself, which will have an effect on the impact you have in the world, good or bad is all down to your thinking.
Taking control of your thinking is a critical skill that I know I keep talking about but its so essential in creating the kind of life that will inspire you and others. It takes effort and if I’m honest, its the hardest thing I have to work at. Maybe because I inhabit the minds of different characters positive and negative in my writing, so transferring to the real world after immersing myself in my stories can be a challenge but its more than worth it.
Your thoughts create your feelings, and your emotions dictate your actions.
I know we’ve been told, and it has been implied in so many ways we are not responsible for how we feel, but from my experience, that’s not the case.
You know I'm for simple processes that work.
Whatever strategy I employ in my life needs to be clear and easily executable, and that’s where this idea neatly fits into the idea of changing your thinking.

Anthony Robbins calls it The Triad.

If you can take control of this simple but so important aspect of your mind power, then you are on your way to controlling your mood, physiology, and results.

Self Talk is nothing more than mentally asking and answering a series of questions about yourself and your situation. Eliminate any habitual questions that do not serve you. Build yourself up with the questions you ask yourself, not tear yourself down.

Emotion is created by motion. Whatever you’re feeling now is mostly related to your physiology. Run, walk, exercise, skip, smile it all works.

Whatever you focus on you will gravitate towards. Focus creates your reality. It may not be actuality just yet, but you are along the path for it to become real.
Picture your world as you want it to be and be grateful every day that you are heading towards your ambitions.

Ask yourself these questions to keep yourself on track.

What are you doing with your body?
What are you focussing on? What are your beliefs?
What are you saying to yourself?

The Magic of Thinking Big by David J Schwartz is a classic that I´m sure I've featured before. It was one of the first set of books that highlighted the power of thought not just as an intellectual exercise on a page but something that could be practically applied to your life. Why think small, when it takes the same amount of energy to think big. The examples within may be dated but don't let that deter you from reading The Magic of Thinking Big. If any book lays out how you can consciously use the power of your mind to significantly improve your life then this is it. The main technique that stood out for me was the ingenious way a reader had recorded an audio advert about himself in glowing terms that he'd play to help boost his self esteem. That's what I call practical.
