Strength is the product of struggle, you must do what others don’t, to achieve what others won’t. — Henry Rollins So you’ve struggled to get to where you are, or you're still struggling. The fact that it's hard and it's draining all your reserves doesn't mean you've made a wrong turn. Don’t take it
personally it's a good thing.
It’s not that you're struggling, it's your attitude towards the struggle that's important. Toddlers are a prime example of how you should approach struggle. They may cry, scream and cajole their parents for something they want and when it's not forthcoming, they’ll reach into their limited bag of tricks and try again. Instinctively, the little ones know its what they do, and they don’t feel guilty for crying -
even if they could. Neither do they resent their parents for saying no. Toddlers don’t have the maturity or tools an adult has at their disposal to find alternatives to challenging situations. So they throw a temper tantrum because that's what they do.
The struggle is a part of life, part of the process. Don't wish it was easier wish you were better and just focus on your challenges by becoming a more accomplished human being. When we’re not worrying about how hard we have it, we're
feeling ashamed of the things we went through, another block to our greatness. If there's one thing, we human beings love is dragging around a body bag filled with our past. Whether its guilt, regret or shame to name a few, we squander an opportunity to convert our baggage into rocket fuel. And that fuel has the power to propel us past the barriers that will always show themselves. Remember if you’ve come from rock bottom many of these challenges cannot phase you. You’ve dealt with worst and
survived. Little did you know when you were going through the trials it would prepare you for the challenges ahead. It's all about experience and learning to reframe situations that most people would call negative. But coming from the rock bottom, you see it differently. I won't insult you by saying there is no pain involved and it's all singing and dancing. That's not the reality. What I will say, is pain must come, and when it does you will have the tools to handle
it.
Hope this Helps
The Obstacle is the
Way is a book I’ve been raving about ever since I read it. Ryan Holiday was able to extract the stoic principals of ancient Greece and show us how they can be applied to the challenges of our modern world. The Obstacle is the
Way applies strategies from Greek emperor's and philosophers that allowed them to navigate battlefields and the hardships that the ancient world threw at them. We can't afford to shy away from the things that intimidate us and this books shows you how others have taken that to heart. Peace, love and Power & Kwa Heri, Kings and Queens
