When you talk to a lot of people like I do and you ask them about what they want from their lives. The answers are usually the things they want to avoid, the things they don’t like, the barriers they’d wish didn’t exist. Nothing about what they want.
I mean it, they say nothing about what they want. You try it with people you know, and you’ll understand what I mean.
Strange, right?

Clarity is Power.

Well, not really.

Most of us have never truly been taught the real power of clarity or have never discovered it for ourselves. What we know from experience is that the things we don’t want are always at the forefront of their minds. That’s why we get the things we get because that’s where our focus exists.
I’m an advocate for the idea that where your focus goes your energy flows.
I just couldn’t grasp the idea of knowing what I truly wanted without referring to the shit I don’t want coming into the picture.
It was a habit.

The change came when I understood not just the importance of Clarity but the power behind it. When I started on my self-publishing journey, I had no sense of clarity. I just wanted to produce good books and sell what I could. I held this crazy idea that my results weren’t controlled by me. That they were subject to the whim and fancy of the universe and I had to accept what I was given.

What the hell was I thinking?
Thankfully that crazy theory was swiftly debunked as I saw how successful men and women viewed the world and I adopted the principles.
There are a few things that I’ve taken on board that have revolutionized my approach to writing and my life that I want to share. And I promise I will reveal the points that really impacted me at a later date but for this email, I just wanted to share one thing. One revelation that changed everything for me and here it is:

If you're going to make the kind of money, have the influence, sell the books or achieve the health that you've never experienced before, then you’re going to have to do a whole lot of things that you have never done before.

Repeat it.
You are here at this juncture in time with the successes and failures behind you because of the clarity of your goals and the actions you’ve taken towards them. The only way you can be more or improve your circumstances is by being better or doing things differently from how you’ve done them in the past.
Simple but not easy.
So let’s digest that one strategy that set me on a new path and we can talk about the other ideas that make up the concept of real Clarity at a later date. In the meantime take a deep breath and let the power of clarity sink in.
