Excuses Don't Get Results. — anonymous
We talk about overnight successes a lot and its testament to the pervasive nature of this myth. We are fooled into believing that such a thing exists through the love affair the media has with the idea. I can understand why. There is nothing sexy about hard work, and if you’re trying to encourage others to get involved with a project or a scheme you’re promoting, then you
want the process to seem effortless so you can sell to or convince the maximum amount of people. They even try to convince you that you can get results in your life without the least action possible on your part. Lose weight, take a tablet. Get fit, walk for five minutes, Become a bestselling author, hire a ghostwriter. And we are in an age where Social Media can create the impression that you don’t need to do anything much to have the results the visionaries
have.
That's what it feels like, getting the results you want
But that is as far as it goes. It’s an impression. It’s not the truth, no matter how much you want it to be. You will be found out because the smoke and mirrors world of social media popularity, is usually not built on a solid foundation. I'm amazed at the lengths people will go in the name of social proof. The Like and Click Farms around the world continue to make money from deluded people, who think there are legitimate shortcuts in
life. On social media, you've got to engage with real people, provide value consistently and watch your numbers mount. Even celebrities have to go through this process. In the end, it's their results that will speak for them. The last album they made, their most recent film or television appearance, their latest book or work of art. Results people nothing more.
I was trying to exclude myself from my results for a long time. Either fan's wanted me to produce consistent work, and I was making excuses, or I was trying to deflect criticism with words and promises. It took maturity for me to stop giving lip service to what I was
planning to do and shift my focus and effort on getting shit done. I could talk a good talk, but history will judge you on your results. I want to be judged for consistently creating great speculative fiction in every media I can. So why am I talking to you guys about it and not do it? Fair enough, let me get back to my writing and let that do the talking.
Hope this
Helps
James Smart's book Results had me really thinking about what it took for me to get the results I required.in my life. I know the cover may not very exciting but James writing style and his practical applications provides you with the tools you need not just to intellectually
understand the process of improving your Results but actually doing it. A great addition to your Library. Peace, love and Power & Kwa Heri, Kings and Queens
Omega Point an Urban Fantastic short will be available for purchase at the end of the month on Amazon.
P.S Would you be so kind to take 2 minutes to leave me a quick review on any of my books below that you have read? It would help immensely.
