Joshua N'Gon: Last Prince of Alkebulahn.
I'm not gonna sugarcoat it – this ain't easy. Society's got a way of trying to keep us in line, making us believe we don't have choices. French philosopher Sartre called
this "bad faith" – the lie we tell ourselves that we have to live a certain way.
It's just smoke and mirrors, family.
You're free to choose how you live, who you become, and what your life means.
But freedom? It's scary as hell. It's easier to blend in and follow the well-worn path. It's safer to meet expectations and avoid making waves. But let me be bluntly honest with you – playing it safe is the riskiest move you can make. Because when
the credits roll on your life, you'll be haunted by the ghost of "What if?"
So how do you start living as only you can? It begins with asking yourself some hard-hitting questions. What do you want? What sets your soul on fire? What are you running from? What beliefs are you carrying that don't even belong to you? These aren't comfortable questions, but they're necessary if you want to live a life that's genuinely yours.
And here's where it gets wild – the answers might knock you off your feet. You might uncover strengths you never knew you had. You might find beauty in the parts of yourself you've been trying to hide. You might realize that the very thing you've been running from is precisely what you need to embrace.
Living as only you can is about integration. It's about bringing together all the pieces of yourself – the shine and the shadows – and declaring, "This
is me, unfiltered and unapologetic." It's about standing tall in your truth, even when the world tries to shrink you.
I'm not gonna lie to you. This journey will test you. You'll doubt yourself. You'll feel the gravitational pull of conformity trying to drag you back into orbit. But every time you choose to be authentically you, you grow stronger. You get closer to that sweet spot of freedom, where you know in your bones that your life is yours to
shape.
So here's my challenge to you this week: Do one thing every day that screams "you." It doesn't have to be earth-shattering. Maybe it's speaking your mind when you usually bite your tongue. Perhaps it's finally picking up that hobby you've been putting on the back burner. Whatever it is, do it because it's you, not because it's what's expected.
Remember, in this grand tapestry of existence, you're not just a thread –
you're a whole damn pattern. Your experiences, your perspective, and your very essence are unique. And the world needs that uniqueness, now more than ever. We don't need another carbon copy; we need you in all your complex, contradictory, beautiful glory.
So step into your power. Embrace your story—all of it. Because when you live as only you can, you're not just existing; you're blazing a trail. And that trail might just light the way for others to find their own path.
Peace, love and power.
