Joshua N'Gon: Last Prince of Alkebulahn.
First up, try what I call the "Glitch in the Matrix" technique. You know those moments in sci-fi movies where characters
realise they're in a simulation because they notice some tiny inconsistency? Start looking for those in your everyday life. For example, when you're absolutely certain you put your keys on the coffee table, only to find them in your jacket pocket – a pocket you've already checked twice. Or when you're in a crowd and spot someone who looks exactly like your childhood best friend, only to blink and have them vanish entirely. Maybe it's that eerie moment when you think of an obscure song for the
first time in years, only to hear it playing in the grocery store ten minutes later. These little "glitches" are reminders that reality is far stranger and more interesting than any idealised version we could imagine.
These moments of déjà vu, synchronicity, or unexplained phenomena aren't just curiosities - they're invitations to engage more deeply with the present moment. They snap us out of our routines and assumptions, forcing us to pay attention to
the intricacies of our surroundings. In doing so, they reveal a world that's far more mysterious and full of potential than we often give it credit for.
Pay attention.
Next, practice "Quantum Observation." In quantum physics, the act of observing something actually changes it. Apply this to your life. Spend a day hyper-aware of everything around you, like a scientist
studying an alien world. How does this shift your experience? You might find that by deeply observing your reality, you're subtly altering it – not by wishing it were different, but by engaging more fully.
Here's another mind-bender: "Parallel Universe Gratitude." Instead of just being grateful for what you have, try being grateful for what you don't have. Imagine a parallel universe where your life is
drastically different – maybe you never met your best friend or chose a different career path. Now, look at your current life through that lens. Suddenly, even the mundane becomes miraculous.
Now, I'm not saying this shift is easy. Our brains are wired to imagine better alternatives – it's what drives progress, after all. But there's a difference between working towards positive change and being constantly dissatisfied with what
is. The trick is to find the balance, to work with reality rather than against it.
Remember, even in the wildest sci-fi stories, it's not the technology or the superpowers that make a tale compelling. It's how characters navigate their realities, however strange they might be. Your life is the most incredible story you'll ever be part of. Don't spend it wishing for a different plot – dive in, plot twists and all, and make it a
tale worth telling.
So this week, I challenge you to embrace your personal "Glitch in the Matrix" moments. Notice the weird, the wonderful, the inexplicable in your everyday life. And when you do, give me a 'holla'. Who knows? Your real-life "glitch" might just inspire my next impossibly possible world.
Stay present, stay curious, and remember – reality is often
stranger than fiction if you know how to look.
Peace, love and power.
