Well, not nothing.
I learned a profound thing.
When your perspective is all about growth, some endeavours have no risk.
My writing is one such thing.
I’m very ambitious and want the most from my career as an author, but if I didn’t become a bestselling writer with all the perks that
came with it, I would be no less pleased with what I’ve achieved.
Being a writer has made me happier because of all the risks.
I expect setbacks when I’m challenging my comfort zone. Failure happens, but it’s not permanent. With
every risk I take, I gain experience and resilience to handle what comes next. Those who never risk sitting on the sidelines while others grow. Realising you can handle uncertainty helps you believe in yourself. This motivates you to take on even more significant challenges.
You even become more attractive and healthy when you take risks. People are drawn to
anyone who lives passionately. You may inspire others to push their boundaries. Shared adventure strengthens relationships with a sense of excitement. Studies show risk-takers have higher levels of the neurotransmitter dopamine, which triggers positive feelings. Pushing boundaries releases hormones that combat anxiety and depression.
So, if you want more
happiness, take a leap. Ask someone out. Apply for that dream job. Start that side hustle. Train for that marathon. Write that book. The exhilaration of chasing your goals outweighs the potential for failure. And taking risks develops the courage to continue reaching higher.
Life is too short to play it safe, Gentle Reader. Stop waiting for guarantees - they
don’t exist. Embrace uncertainty and take bold risks to pursue what sets your soul on fire. You have more strength than you know.
Trust me.
Happiness awaits on the other side of your next risk.
