Challenge the Boundaries of Possibility
To find solutions to unique problems, we must approach them differently. We often refuse to challenge what we think is possible and settle. As with Speculative fiction, so with life, it is all about pushing the boundaries of what is
possible. The genre encourages us to question the norms and limitations of our world and imagine new possibilities. And sometimes, that is what’s required to break through barriers. We must dare to dream bigger, go beyond our comfort zones, and break free from conventional thinking. By challenging the boundaries of possibility, we open ourselves up to new answers to questions not yet asked, providing ourselves with clarity.
Incorporate
Flexibility into Your Plans
I love writing about characters that can adapt to changing circumstances. They learn to be flexible in their plans and adjust their strategies as needed as the situation dictates. This adaptability allows them to navigate through unforeseen challenges and continue their journey towards their goals. In our own lives, it’s important to incorporate flexibility in our plans as well. Life can become stressful
and overwhelming if we are too rigid. It’s essential to embrace change and be flexible in our approach. Life is unpredictable, and circumstances may change along the way. Being open to change and willing to adjust our plans allows us to navigate through uncertainties, stay on track and remain sane.
Build a Supportive Network
The protagonists in my stories always rely
on the support of their allies to overcome challenges and achieve their goals. You don’t have to do it all yourself; delegate. My heroines form deep connections with others, be they human, alien or mystical beings and build a supportive network that helps them on their journey. In our own lives, creating a supportive network is equally important. There is no need for you to be overwhelmed. Surrounding ourselves with like-minded individuals, mentors, and allies who believe in our dreams can
provide us with the emotional support, guidance, and motivation we need. Cultivating relationships with people who inspire us, lift us up, and cheer us on as we pursue our dreams is crucial.
If you’re experiencing overwhelm in your life, take a moment to pause and refocus. Take some time, no matter what is happening. Slow it down. Then consider these four suggestions as stepping stones to begin mastering overwhelm. There is no right or
wrong way to handle it. Whatever works for you will become your roadmap.
Take the first steps.
