Declutter my desktop, closet, email
etc. - Clearing physical clutter from my workspace or living space works wonders for me. I can literally feel the mental cobwebs falling away and my focus improving. Itās almost as if the act of tidying up translates into a clearer mind.
Exercise has been shown to positively affect mental clarity and focus. We all know this; we just donāt do enough of it. Physical activity increases blood flow to the brain, which can lead to improved cognitive function. Iāve had some of my best ideas at the gym. When I skip my exercise regime, I suffer on multiple levels.
Less News, More Balance - Itās important to be informed about current events, I get that, but excessive consumption can mess up your perspective. If the negativity is going to impair your performance, control the input. Stand guard to the door of your mind.Ā
Journaling allows you to organise all those conflicting ideas in your head. Thereās something about writing down your thoughts that gives them clarity and purpose. Itās a brilliant form of self-reflection, and I recommend you do it daily.
