While these habits may not be easy to install, they are, at their heart, straightforward. One of my MITs is writing every day. According to some bloggers, the popular opinion for professional writers is to have a daily word count between 500 and 3000. A daily word count is an excellent idea if you're a full-time writer, but that would not work for me.
I have purposely not set a word count goal because I know it would be a point of contention and stress. And I don't produce my best work when I'm stressed. All I do is write as much as I can every day. Whether it's 50 words or 5000. My habit is easy to implement and works for me.
I have no excuses not to execute on it.
Whatever it is, you need to do gentle reader to make it as easy as possible to start; just
do it. Consistency is more important than quantity in the beginning. Once it's become an ingrained action - a habit, you can begin to tweak it, make it more challenging if that's what is required.
Acquiring habits and using the power of compounding - one of the most potent forces in existence is a powerful combination. Do something small every single day, and success will become inevitable.
Imagine where you could be
after a decade of small actions repeated daily.
Never underestimate the power of baby steps and tiny changes; they can hugely impact your life.
Be your own hero.
