Ikigai consists of four dimensions. Firstly, we need to pick something we're good at. Secondly, it must be a thing that we love to do. Thirdly, the world should need it. And lastly, we have to get paid.
I'm not going to make our chat too long by breaking it all down here, but I will recommend you look into
Ikigai yourself.
It's worth it.
Finding your purpose is worth it.
Be prepared for a new lease of life when you understand what you're meant to bring to the world.
No more wanting to do nothing. With purpose, you'll be constantly switched on. And when you do rest or vacation, you'll do nothing with purpose. Your goal would be to
re-energise yourself, so when you resume work, you'll be refreshed and rearing to go again.
Just remember that in a constantly shifting and changing world, finding your Ikigai is an exercise that needs to be adapted and fine-tuned throughout life. Your Ikigai may not be the same when you're twenty as when you turned fifty.
The Ikigai concept may vary, but the general consensus is we must be searching for a
motivating purpose in life. When you feel like doing nothing too many times in a row, you know it's time for reflection and self-study.
Know why you do what you do and then do it with purpose.
Be your own hero.
