We all can experience these revolutions if we are willing to look for them. Unfortunately, that is a decision most of us have decided not to make due to fear or a lack of purpose.
I used to believe secrets were abounding in the world. As time passed, I understood that they weren’t secrets but more like knowledge in the world that I needed to discover. I was fortunate to have a thirst for knowing more. I just didn’t have any direction. I was seeking knowledge for knowledge’s sake. Then I realised I wanted to be a writer, and it all began to make sense. All that obscure information that I thought wouldn’t have much practical use in my life
suddenly was essential to the important work I had to do. You Constant Reader may have to develop that hunger for knowledge. But don’t let the adventure deter you; it’s worth the effort.
I’ve devoured podcasts, books, documentaries, films, seminars and the occasional bystander with relentless questioning. And when I find something that causes a revolution in my life, the satisfaction is unparalleled, but most importantly, it moves me closer to my goals. And yes, it’s true; it’s not about the end goal but who you become on the journey to that goal. I love reading because It develops my mind, helps me to think bigger, and process life better. But
the best thing of all is the discoveries I make that allow me to jump forward in my personal development.
That’s what revolutions are all about.
If in your heart of hearts you harbour goals of having more money, contributing to the world in some meaningful way, being healthy, being an entrepreneur, being happy, and then constant reader, you’re on the hunt too. And that means all the days of your life you’ll seeking practical knowledge that can change your way of thinking and behaving for the better. I hope it doesn’t feel like a life sentence or hard labour; it’s meant to be a glorious affirmation of our
individual freedom.
As Victor Frankl said, life is never made unbearable by circumstances but only by lack of meaning or purpose.
And that’s what we must set out to do. Find our purpose and stir up a personal revolution.
